- 2025 GR Corolla Premium White 6sp
Hello all!
I'm just a day into ownership of a brandnew Ice Cap White 2025 GRC Premium w/ 6sp manual + Sub-Radiator. This is my first Japanese car, my previous cars were a white '14 Ford Focus ST (~30K before selling) and a Tornado Red '17 VW GTI Sport (DSG), took it all the way up to Stage 2 with lots of OEM+ mods. I owned the GTI for over 8 years, put 109K miles on it and drove it across the country and back. I loved that car, but it wasn't cheap to maintain, haha, I had the timing chaing go at 80K, and after getting past 100K and everything was working, I decided its best to part ways and give something else a try.
I'm excited to go down this journey of ownership!
Though...will say...I'm already noticing one issue with the car that I'm at the dealership trying to resolve. At speeds above 65 mph, the wind noise on the driver's side sounds like there's a leak into the cabin. Lots of gushing wind! I didn't notice this on 2023 and 2024 ones I test drove before buying this 2025. I'll post a separate post about the results and the status of that, since this is the introduction.
My main reasoning for going with the 2025 over a used 2023-2024 was....
1. Sub-Radiator + front grill has more cooling (I saw all the fire scares and just wanted peace of mind... haha).
2. Track Mode is now auto adjusts between 60-30 and 30-70, gravel mode is 50-50.
3. ECO mode keeps the exhaust valve closed for more control over it.
4. I got MSRP for new and many of the used 2023 and 2024s were going for MSRP with 15K miles on them or over it. Yikes.
